Drew Lanham, a professor of wildlife ecology at Clemson University, where his research focuses on songbird ecology as well as the African-American role in natural-resources conservation. Dr. Lanham is also an author and award-nominated poet of The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man’s Love Affair with Nature, as well as his collection of poems, Sparrow Envy, were both published in 2016.
