End-of-Life doulas are known by many different names, such as; death doulas, end-of-life specialists, providers, practitioners, coaches, or guides. My guest in this episode is Felicity Warner and she prefers the term Soul Midwives and is the founder of the global Soul Midwives Movement which offers unique training programs that teach holistic and spiritual care for the end of life. She created the idea of Soul Midwifery after sitting with many hundreds of people at the end of life and her pioneering work has brought a new dimension to holistic and spiritual palliative care. She is the author of 4 acclaimed books and name End of Life Care Champion by the National Council for Palliative Care as well as being named Inspirational Woman of the year by a leading UK newspaper. Felicity’s view is that everyone should be treated as the most loved person in the world when they are dying.
