The Power of a Moment Generation Z: Born 1995-2015 – Currently ages 7-27 74% of teens say they experienced loneliness. 66% experienced high anxiety. 60% of them experienced depression. 35% of US teens reported suicidal ideation. We believe that Gen Z will be set free 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (NIV) The Power of a Moment In His presence is where we receive His promises. Acts 2:1-4 “On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.” (NLT) 1. Moments will unlock More Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, through Judea, in Samara and to the ends of the earth.” (NLT) Ephesians 4:14-15 “Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever, they sound like the truth. 15. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way MORE and MORE like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church (NLT) Jesus wants to do more! 2. Moments will unlock a Movement Acts 2:41 “Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day –about 3,000 in all.” (NLT) Acts 2:47b “And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.” (NLT) A YOUTH MOVEMENT THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD! I see a youth movement where students Experience the power of the Holy Spirit. I see a youth movement that is diverse and for Everyone. Acts 2:17 “In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams” (NLT) I see a youth movement where scripture Engagement is a priority. Acts 2:42 “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” (NLT) I see a youth movement that will make every Effort to help students Know God, Grow in God, Discover their Purpose, and Make a Difference. 2 Peter 1:12-15 “So, I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you have.13 I think it is right to refresh your memory as I live in the tent of this body, 14 because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made it clear to me. 15 And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.” (NIV) 1. Pray for this generation. 2. Prioritize Church with your kids and grandkids. 3. Participate in reaching the next generation. In this world the pursuit of more will always leave you with less.
