The Power of a New and Living Way Part 2

THE TRUE PRESENCE AND POWER OF GOD IS ALL THERE IS. There are no other things. There are no substitutes. There are no replacements. And only a people who are pitiful and anemic spiritually would settle for anything else. We must have the Holy Spirit among us. Period. "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all." It is the Spirit who will guide you into all truth. "Right" information is no substitute for Holy Spirit-led Truth. You can be right yet totally ineffective. You can have the right information, yet be completely devoid of the power of God. You can gain a whole world of religious knowledge and still die in your unforgiven sins and spend eternity in Hell. I am not saying all religious activity is automatically bad. I am saying that all religious activity is inherently incomplete, insufficient, ineffectual. God didn't just give us a set of standards; He gave us a Savior. He didn't just give us some rules and traditions—a sort of life ethic to loosely base our lives on; He gave us a living way. How often do we settle for religious activity when we could have REAL fellowship with Christ? You can satisfy yourself with the junk food that is religious activity, or you can seek the Spiritual Food of God from a Hungry Heart.
