The Power of Being Fed Up with Your Life

from Crosstowne Church - Sermons

The key to transformation starts not in your actions, not in your behavior, not in your body. It starts with your thoughts. As Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” As we learn from the story of the prodigal son, or better titled, the loving father, that renewal, and all of its transformational power, directly correlates to our closeness with God. A closeness that all of us at times struggle to maintain or feel, but a closeness that comes as we get fed up with our lives, own up to our faults, and offer up ourselves to Him.It's not something that happens overnight, but the great news is, we have a loving Father who waits for us, just as we are, to decide that being closer to Him is better than where we are now.
