 Text: Titus 2:11–12 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world." The Epistle to Titus was written by the Apostle Paul to his spiritual son and fellow labourer on the island of Crete. The letter's purpose was pastoral and practical—guiding Titus in the establishment of sound doctrine, godly leadership, and holy living amidst a culture known for moral corruption (Titus 1:12). The Cretans' reputation as "liars, evil beasts, slow bellies" reflected a pagan environment hostile to truth and purity. Yet, into this very setting, Paul declared the transforming power of grace.
