THE POWER OF KIND WORDS!
from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix
Scripture: “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.” — Proverbs 16:24 Message: Words are powerful. They have the ability to build up or tear down, to heal or to wound. Proverbs 16:24 reminds us that kind and pleasant words are not just nice to hear—they bring sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Like honey, they nourish, refresh, and bring life to those who receive them. In a world filled with negativity and harshness, a simple word of encouragement, a sincere compliment, or a gentle response can brighten someone's day and even change their life. Jesus Himself used words to heal, comfort, and inspire. His words calmed storms, raised the dead, and brought hope to the brokenhearted. As believers, we are called to reflect His character. Our words should be seasoned with grace, love, and wisdom. Even when correcting others, kindness can make the truth easier to receive. Every day, we have opportunities to speak life into others. A kind word can restore hope to someone who feels forgotten, bring peace to someone anxious, or inspire courage in someone who feels weak. Think of someone who may need encouragement—how can you bless them with your words? Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of words. Help me to use my words wisely, to speak life, encouragement, and kindness to those around me. Let my speech reflect Your love and bring healing to hurting hearts. Teach me to be slow to speak harshly and quick to offer words that uplift. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
