Life can be hard at times, and for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the circumstances that make life hard are beyond our control and sometimes they are of our own making. Sometimes those circumstances come out of nowhere. We feel like we’ve been ambushed by the enemies of hardship or suffering. When that happens, where do you turn? The next fascinating story of God’s power is found in 2 Chronicles 20. It comes from the life of one of ancient Israel’s kings – a man named Jehoshaphat. It is a model story in that it perfectly models how a follower of God should face the hardships of life – by praising God.
