THE POWER OF THE CROSS!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: "But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed." — Isaiah 53:5 (NIV) Message: Good Friday is a solemn and sacred reminder of the greatest act of love in history—the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. The power of the cross is not found in its physical form, but in the spiritual truth it represents: Jesus willingly took our place, bore our sin, and carried our shame so that we could be reconciled to God. Isaiah 53:5 prophetically declares what Jesus accomplished on that day. He was pierced not for His own wrongs, but for ours. He was crushed so we could be restored. Every lash, every thorn, every nail bore the weight of our rebellion—and through His suffering, we find healing and peace. The cross is not the end of the story, but the doorway to new life. It is where justice and mercy meet. Where guilt is exchanged for grace. Where the power of sin is broken and the promise of eternal life begins for all who believe. Today, ask yourself: Do I truly grasp the depth of Christ’s love displayed on the cross? Am I living in the freedom, healing, and peace that His sacrifice provides? Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the cross. Thank You for enduring the pain and punishment that I deserved. Help me never to take Your sacrifice for granted. Teach me to walk daily in the power of the cross—with gratitude, humility, and love. Amen.
