Most people generally believe that the primary purpose of our five senses is to help us navigate our world ‘out’ there. That is true, but there’s another aspect of our senses that you may not be aware of. Jesus touches on one of our senses when he states, “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body.” (Matt. 6:22). Not just to help us navigate the world out there, but to realize that it plays a part in shaping who we are as a person. Hence, the importance of what our eyes are fixed on.
