Galatians 5:16-25. “Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another” (Gal. 5:13). If there was a category for words easy to say but action difficult to do, it would be this verse which we studied last week. But as much as we might wish it weren’t so, the difficulty factor doesn't negate God’s command for us to exercise our Christ-bought freedom to serve others through love (or any other command). So when it comes to not using our freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; when it comes to obeying the commands of Jesus—the question becomes, “How are these things possible? What power has Jesus given to us so that we can obey His commands?” To which Paul replies—Jesus has given us the power of the Holy Spirit.
