The power of the Word Pt 1

This week we will be revisiting the sermon preached over the weekend, "The Power of the Word," as we feel it is important to be reminded of what God is saying to us as a family.Genesis 1:11-12 [KJV] - "And the earth brought forth grass, the herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good."Mark 4:13-20 [NIV] - Then Jesus said to them, "Don't you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? The farmer sows the Word...1. The Kingdom of God is Word activated.In Genesis 1:1 and Hebrews 11:3, we read that God spoke creation intoexistence. The Word comes in seed form. A seed is in itself enough. 2. The Importance of the seed.There is an enemy that will do everything to steal your seed, the Word of God that is in you. The seed in you holds God's plan for your life, your purpose, and destiny. Nurture the seed.3. Believe it, become it, and behave it!a. Believe - that God has a purpose and destiny for you and nurture the seed, believe and speak His Word.b. Become - the seed in you is hard work; there are challenges. Trust God in the process and speak the Word over you.c. Behave - May the Word of God dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).Reflection:- Are you willing to lay hold of the Word of God so that you are readywhen an opportunity comes you explode with the Word in you?- Are you ready to go and sow back into the world as you reflect andspeak the seed in you?- There is power in the seed!
