The Power of Visualizing Your Goals - And Your Obstacles

from Okay, Now What? - With Kate Gladdin · host Kate Fitzsimons

Visualization - a term often misconceived as being like ''woo-woo'' stuff where it's you just like visualize your goal and it appears in front of you. That's not what I am talking about at all. I am not talking about trying to believe in magic, but the power of your brain backed by scientific research that makes a huge difference between those who ultimately achieve their goals and those who don't. I am discussing it with you today because I wouldn't be where I am right now - sitting here at my desk in my new home in Princeton, New Jersey working hard on my dreams alongside my boyfriend - if I hadn't made the most of my ability to not only visualize myself being here, but all the obstacles I'd overcome on along the way. It's not about just having a vision of your future circumstances, but the character you will show in the face of any circumstances no matter how unexpected they may be. Visualization is a tool I've used to achieve many significant goals in my life and now I want to explain with you a little more how it works so you can put it into practice to help you do the same.
