The Power to Become a Child of God“But to all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” – John 1 verse 12. Have you ever thought about the fact that no one is automatically born a child of God? That may sound surprising, but that’s exactly what John is saying here. Being a child of God isn’t something you’re born into — it’s a choice. And the amazing thing is, you have the power to make that choice.Some people think that because Jesus died for everyone, then everyone is already saved. Others believe that God has already decided who will be saved and who won’t, no matter what choices we make. But the Bible paints a different picture: it says that whoever receives Him and believes in His name — those are the ones who are given the right to become children of God.God doesn’t force anyone into His family. He invites. He offers. But it’s up to you to decide if you’ll say yes. Receiving Christ isn’t just about saying you believe He exists. It means trusting Him, surrendering your life to Him, and walking with Him every day. It’s real faith — not just with words, but with action.Believing in Jesus’ name is more than just agreeing with facts about Him. Even demons believe that God exists — and that doesn’t change anything for them. Believing in His name means putting your trust in who He is, depending on His grace, and choosing to live for Him.If you’ve been feeling lost, unsure, or like something’s missing in your life, maybe this is what you’ve been searching for: a real relationship with God.
