The power to live your vision podcast special guest mrs. Andrea Brown and Grandmaster Dennis Brown

from The Power To Live Your Vision Podcast · host Jessie Bowen

As we remember Dr. Martin Luther King, it's critical that we understand our own journeys so that we can see how far we've come and how far we still have to go. I can tell you from my experience that there were many challenges and tribulations to endure growing up in the fifties and sixties. Dr. Martin Luther King was among those who prayed and endured much physical pain which led to him losing his life for quality for all men and women, regardless of skin color or nationality. Mrs. Andrea Brown, who worked in the White House under President Carter, and her husband Grandmaster Dennis Brown, a civil rights activist in the Baltimore Washington DC area, are our special guests today. The purpose of today's podcast is to take a look back at the challenges that African Americans faced in their fight for equality, including slavery and segregation.
