The Power to Save - Audio

from Chiangmai Christian Fellowship · host Tim Dunham

Big Idea - The coronavirus reminds us that nature is not always our friend, it can be very destructive. A destruction that is clearly evil. It is a fair question to ask how a good and loving God could allow such terrible things to invade our planet and our lives. It is a complicated question, and the answer is even more complex and may never satisfy us in this life. What matters is to know that it is a result of sin and the curse that resulted as part of the fall, and it is not going away until the ”end”. How then, are we to live in a world where evil and destruction will be part of life? Is there no place to run and hide? Can we overcome evil, or are we doomed to live under its power as long as we are on this earth? We cannot overcome evil, we cannot control it, we cannot avoid it, but there is One who is greater than every evil. Jesus has power and authority over every form of evil in the world and those who trust in Jesus can bee delivered from its control. We will have to contend with evil as long as we live, but we do not need to be defeated. More importantly, we do not need to be controlled by it. Jesus is in control and if we follow Him evil loses its grip over our life!
