These are those who do not know but are unaware of their ignorance; their grey area is the valley of decision. They are also more concerned about their gifts than training themselves to become who God has called them to be. He clarifies that false prophets can travel into darkness in stages, depending on their level of pride and self-deception. However, he points out that novices in the prophetic can still be redirected through rebuke if they heed the advice, or plunge into the reprobate zone if they ignore the rebuke. Additionally, Joseph references the Books of 2 Peter 2:1-3 and 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 to reveal the ways of false prophets, and how to overcome them. He further explains that knowledge of the truth will set us free from the deceptive ways of false prophets, for when we're lovers of the truth, we're lovers of Jesus. Interestingly, the Book of Revelation 19:10 dispels all doubts about what prophecy is, for it reveals that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
