THE PRAYER OF A THANKFUL HEART!

Scripture: "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." — Colossians 4:2 (NIV) Message: A heart anchored in gratitude transforms the way we approach God in prayer. When we pray with thankfulness, we shift our focus from what we lack to all that God has already done. Gratitude opens our eyes to His faithfulness, strengthens our trust, and draws us closer to Him. Colossians 4:2 encourages us to be devoted to prayer—not casually, but persistently—and to weave thankfulness into every conversation we have with God. A thankful heart guards against discouragement and keeps our spirits lifted even when circumstances are challenging. Thankful prayer is powerful because it acknowledges God’s sovereignty and goodness, regardless of how we feel. It reminds us that He is working all things together for our good. Even in seasons of waiting or hardship, gratitude shapes our hearts to trust and praise Him more deeply. Today, ask yourself: Is my heart filled with gratitude as I come before God in prayer? Prayer: Almighty Father, thank You for Your endless love, mercy, and faithfulness. Teach me to pray with a heart full of gratitude, recognizing Your hand in every part of my life.
