Years ago, I discovered this little book, The Prayer of Jabez: Breaking Through to the Blessed Life, by Dr. Bruce H. Wilkinson. It was the #1 New York Times Bestseller. I was intrigued, so I purchased and read it, with the promise that it would change my life. Well, God did not grant me material blessings but rather a heart for Jesus. That was life-changing and more precious than gold!Jabez's prayer is mentioned in I Chronicles 4:10 (NIV). It says, "Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!
