The Prelude: 1718-1740

In this episode Devan and Levi briefly discuss the War of the Quadruple Alliance, and the War of Polish Succession, despite these two conflicts being of lower intensity, the both have major territorial changes and alliances shift as Europe's major powers scheme against each other while trying to maintain the balance of power. The episode ends in 1740 with Charles VI, Archduke of Austria and Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire dies and his efforts at the Pragmatic Sanction will soon be put the test in the war of Austrian Succession.
