THE PREMATURE BURIAL- EDGAR ALLAN POE'S STRANGELY PROPHETIC SHORT STORY

In this story, an unknown narrator tells us stories of people who had been buried prematurely and were rescued, then shares his own story of he had lived for years fearing he would be buried in the same manner due to a physical condition which seemed to render himself dead. A very strange story indeed, and perhaps a premonition, because Poe died suddenly on a business trip to Philadelphia, which he never reached. As in his first example set forth in this story, Poe died in Baltimore unexpectedly.
