The prevalence of deep fake scammers

You want to but you’re skeptical?  Ok what if the person encouraging you to jump in is a face or voice you are used to, say, a credible broadcast journalist? If people who normally bring you the news tell you it’s ok – what could go wrong?  How could it be a scam if Devi Sankaree-Govender or Leanne Mannas says you should invest? Or the face of the evening news Bongiwe Zwane?  There are even investments being touted by Elon Musk you may not like him, but he sure knows how to make money, right? As people around the world grapple with fast advancing technologies, artificial intelligence and the coming future, criminals are eager to pounce on naïve and unsuspecting members of the public.
