James Burdette, founder of Nemesis Powerlifting Team, has set powerlifting records in the 165 pound class, the 181 pound class, the 198 pound class, the 220 pound class and even the 242 pound class (weighing 222).  A proud WPO (World Powerlifting Organization ) competitor, he is best known for his coaching and mentoring/motivational skills.  A tough-as-nails masters lifter,  this navy veteran has been shot at and is recovering from a recent heart attack.  He has squatted almost 1000 pounds and Bench pressed close to 800 pounds. He vows to return to the lifting platform very soon.  He trains out of Scot Mendelson's in LA.
