While being a story that was till then most famously told with the likes of Charlton Heston, a pre-Shrek Dreamworks sought out to take a page out of their animation precessor of Disney and combine heartfelt storytelling with a bombastic epic musical socre and lyrics from Hans Zimmer and Stephen Schwartz respectively. While taking liberties with the source material, this months movies captured the true essence of the biblical story of Moses.
