The PRISM: The Quran v The Bible - What's the Difference?

from The Semper Reformata Podcast

The PRISM: The Quran v The Bible - What's the Difference? In this episode of THE PRISM we are looking at a seemingly common misconception in modern society, where many people seem to think that all religions are, ultimately the same.  A while back, on a popular radio programme on BBC Radio Ulster, a member of the public phoned in to declare that he had read the Qu'ran, and that it is ‘exactly the same as the Bible.’  I wondered was he actually illiterate, or intellectually challenged, or perhaps he was demonstrating by that remark that in fact he hadn’t actually read a Bible at all!    So let’s look briefly at the differences between the Bible and the Qu'ran under three headings, firstly, Moslem claims for Qu'ranic Inspiration, then Islamic hermeneutics, and finally, the relationship between Islam and the Bible.  Hosted on Acast.
