When asked who Jesus was or is, some may respond that, “Jesus was a great story teller!” Unfortunately, that viewpoint just skims the surface of who Jesus really was and what Jesus was accomplishing through His stories!In reading the Gospel accounts, approximately 1/3 of Jesus’ public ministry was spent telling stories, better known as parables; stories with intent.The problem of Jesus’ stories becomes clear when someone asks, “Why did Jesus speak in parables?” Why did Jesus, use stories to teach to his disciples, and the crowds that followed him?
