The Production of Defense by Gustave de Molinari

Gustave de Molinari (1819-1912) in 1849 wrote this article in Journal des Economistes, of which he was the editor for several decades. He argues that public security and defense would be better off being funded and supported by the free market. He was the first ever to come up with this theory, possibly making him the Father of "anarcho-capitalism" even though at his time "anarchism" was a bit of a no-no to laissez-faire economists.
