First, the Word creates. It carries divine creative force, accomplishing all that God intends and forming the very substance of the new creation, for we are begotten by the Word of truth. Second, the Word is Life. Not merely a giver of life, but Life Himself—eternal life embodied in Christ and imparted to all who believe. Third, the Word is Light. This life enlightens us, awakening spiritual sight and delivering us from darkness into the light of God’s reality.As the new year unfolds, this episode calls us to begin with and continue by the Word, confident that His creative power, His life, and His light will attend us in every way through Christ.
