The Promise of Certainty

Are you comfortable riding the wave and allowing things to fail, allowing your humanity to be present? Or do you crave certainty? Do you seek out a sure thing? Are you looking for the "right" way?

We're constantly bombarded with messages and promises of certainty from religion, from products, even programs, telling us this is the right way to do this or that. But we don't live in a controlled environment. So what do we do? Join me this week as we settle the mind, connect to our breath, and begin to question this idea of certainty. Can it ever really be obtained? And what do you think is waiting for you once you've grasped it? 

I'm exploring: 

• What certainty looks and feels like to you and why you might be craving it
• If adventure can coexist with certainty? Or not?
• What we're often told depression, anxiety, or nervousness really is and how it connects to our fears of uncertainty 
• How individualism plays a role in seeking out sureness 
• Nervousness as transformation: A lesson from Butterfly 
• A short exercise: Checking in with mind, body, and essence, discovering what stories and fears come up that have us racing after rightness 

This episode is dedicated to my father. He taught me to be curious, to be courageous, and to be playful. Through uncertainty, he sought adventure.
