Luke 2: 1-11. The baby born in Bethlehem is all about God keeping His promise to send the Savior we need. Because God is a promise-keeping God, there is no way Christmas could not happen. When the angel sang to the shepherds his "good news of great joy" it's because the longings and hopes of God's promises fulfilled were right there in that manger. The good news of the Savior we need had come.
