“THE PROMISE OF HEAVEN”

August 10, 2024 Daily Devotion: “THE PROMISE OF HEAVEN” Revelation 21:4 New International Version 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” One of the greatest joys of being a Christ follower is the promise of heaven. Believing in eternal life with God gives us a different perspective when we face loss in this life. Loss is hard. But we have heaven to look forward to, and the promise that in heaven there is no death, sorrow, sadness, or pain. We will experience loss and grief in this life, but as Christians, we know this isn’t the end. There is more to our stories. We have the hope of heaven. We grieve with the perspective that everything will be redeemed by Christ. The promise of eternity makes us brave in the midst of loss.
