The Promise of Hope in Every Season (Morning Air)

from The Best of the Week · host Relevant Radio

So, Glen Lewerenz and Jenni Thyng just hit on something we all need right now: hope. Like, the world is getting darker (literally with daylight saving time kicking in soon) and a little spookier (👻). But Jenni’s got a fresh take on how we can all hold onto hope, no matter the season, even if it’s feeling like “ugh, get me out of here!”   Here’s her take on finding hope through all the seasons of life:   Winter: The “I’d Rather Stay in Bed” Season ❄️ Winter is when life feels like it’s on pause: things feel cold, maybe a little stagnant. Jenni says that even if it feels like nothing’s happening, God’s working under the surface, prepping us for what’s next.    Spring: The Fresh Start 🌱 Spring is like a life refresh! This is when new stuff starts to bloom, and we can finally see God doing something different. Jenni says it’s about tuning in to those new beginnings: big or small, and believing that, yep, God’s doing a new thing. It’s that whole “look, He’s making all things new” feeling.   Summer: Just Enjoy the Ride ☀️ Summer’s all about getting out there and having some fun. Jenni says it’s also a great time to just breathe and enjoy life’s gifts. God is all about rest too! So, take a break, soak up the sun, and enjoy the life God’s given you. No need to hustle every second.   Fall: Harvesting What You’ve Sown 🌾 Fall’s about seeing the results, both in life and spiritually. It’s harvest time! Jenni reminds us that sometimes we see the fruits of our work, and sometimes we’re still just planting seeds, trusting God to bring the growth. It’s all about trusting that whatever’s happening, God is so faithful.   Jenni also shares some truth about patience: especially when we want life to move at the speed of Wi-Fi! She says keeping a gratitude journal or a “thankful jar” can help keep us grounded when life feels heavy. Write down something good from each day, toss it in the jar, and pull it out whenever you’re feeling low.   So yeah, even when it’s dark and the days feel blah, remember God’s got the bigger plan. Seasons change, but He’s steady. Use this time to help others who might be struggling and share some hope with them! God is never going to leave you. That’s something we can all hang on to. 🌲       The best way to listen to the Best of the Week is on our #1 Free Catholic App. It’s free, and always will be!
