"The Promised"
from "Prayer Changes Everything" Devotion for Today · host Y.E.S. Jesus Youth Encountering Savior Jesus
September 6, 2024 Daily Devotion: "The Promised" Micah 2:12 New International Version 12 “I will surely gather all of you, Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasturen the place will throng with people. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. This familiar verse in Psalm 23 expresses in a beautiful way the words of the prophet Micah today. Israel and Judah would be taken to a foreign land, scattered for years. But it would come a day when God would gather the faithful remnant of Israel, those who trust Him with all their hearts and do His will. This is a prophecy of the Second coming of Christ, when Jesus returns as King and sits in His throne in Jerusalem. As far as our sin takes us, God will always look for us like the lost sheep the good shepherd looks for in the mountains. He is a Good Father! He will not keep His anger forever. As I read Psalm 103, my heart fills with joy and gratitude towards God. He is the One who forgives, the One who heals, the One who redeems. He covers me with His love and His mercy even when I mess things up.
