The Prophet Ezekiel-Pt 3

The prophet Ezekiel was commissioned by God to deliver a dual message of judgment and hope to the exiled people of Judah, calling them to confront their collective and individual sins that led to Babylonian captivity. Through vivid symbolic actions and prophetic declarations, he exposed the spiritual corruption of Jerusalem, affirmed God's holiness, and declared that divine judgment was both inevitable and righteous, aimed at purifying His people and correcting their rebellion. Ezekiel also condemned neighboring nations—including Ammon, Moab, Edom, Philistia, Tyre, Sidon, and Egypt—for their malicious joy in Judah's downfall and their persistent hostility toward God's chosen people, emphasizing that God alone would execute justice and ensure all nations recognize His sovereignty. Yet amid the warnings of doom, Ezekiel proclaimed a future of restoration, promising a new covenant, a renewed heart, a rebuilt temple, and the return of God as king and shepherd to His faithful remnant.
