The Prophet ﷺ in the Scriptures Part 1 of 2 Delivered by Shaykh Riyadh ul Haq on Friday 23rd September 2022 at Al Kawthar Academy, Leicester Video: https://youtu.be/8qFXEAjk-Uo The talk begins with a reference to the characteristics and attributes of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as foretold in earlier scriptures, particularly noting his unlettered nature as mentioned in the Qur’an. The talk dives into various verses that affirm the Prophet’s ﷺ presence in the Tawrah and Injeel, the prayers of Ibrahim (PBUH) for a future prophet, and the glad tidings given by Isa (PBUH). The session also recounts the experiences of early converts to Islam such as Najashi and Abdullah Ibn Salam, who recognized the Prophet's ﷺ legitimacy and mission. Further, the talk emphasizes the gentle, merciful nature of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his reliance on Allah, showcasing how his character reconciled the hearts of formerly warring tribes into a unified community. The lecture serves as both an account of the Prophet's ﷺ foretold coming and an exploration of his qualities as reflective of divine guidance, stressing that unity amongst believers comes from compassion, softness of speech, and a shared connection in faith, rather than through force or wealth. The session concludes with a supplication for understanding and following the Prophet's ﷺ example.
