The Pub, iconic steakhouse off Route 130, is up for sale

You've probably seen the landmark sign while driving in South Jersey. The big red letters spelling out "PUB". Well, now The Pub can be yours. It's going up for sale. However, the owners of The Pub on Route 130 in Pennsauken want to be clear: It's not closing. The restaurant is currently on summer break and will reopen Sept. 18. The steakhouse is decorated like a medieval banquet hall, with taxidermy and swords on the walls and six open hearths used to broil steaks. It's been around for 75 years. The current owners have had it for 26 years. They told the Inquirer, "It's been great keeping the traditions alive." They hope the next owner will do the same, but they acknowledge that a developer might have another "grand plan." (Photo credit: NBC10)
