The Purpose of The Church - Audio

Big Idea - Why do Church? What is the point? What should the Church be focused on - what is her main focus of ministry? Evangelism? To help people get saved? Making disciples? Helping the poor - Social justice? Buildings? Programs? Worship - the glory of God? The Church should above all else be involved in helping people draw near to God and experience His presence through the Ministry of the Word - to know God, His plans, and do all that He commands. The Church is also is all about corporate Worship - celebrating God's great saving work in our life (Passover). Therefore, we should be actively involved in supporting God's house, by our giving and our service in order to participate in the ministry of drawing near to God - supporting it and experiencing it, and to support the Ministry of the Word, and to grow by the ministry of the Word. Finally, we are to join with one heart and one mind in Worshiping our great God!
