With a PhD in Nursing from UCLA and multiple degrees in nursing, health policy research, and African-American studies, Dr. Montgomery is a passionate advocate for increased diversity, equity, and inclusion in nursing. She manages a Level II Maternal Program and coordinates the Maternal Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee, while also being an active member of various organizations including the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, the National Black Nurses Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
