The Queen of Kings: The Woman King 2022

On this week's episode we're talking The Woman King, which follows a band of fierce female warriors (Agojie) lead by an even fiercer General Nanisca; played by Viola Davis. It's the 1820s and they are the elite guard of the West African kingdom of Dahomey, tasked with keeping their kingdom safe from rivle clans and European slave traders. To help us wade through these wild woman is our guest (and fierce female herself) filmmaker/actor Mary Galloway.
