The Queen They Tried to Erase: The Story of Princess Sophie Charlotte"

from BLACK TAPE REPORT · host Scribcast Network

On this episode of The Forbidden Frequency, we uncover the remarkable and rarely told story of Princess Sophie Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, the woman believed to be the first Black Queen of England. Born on this day in 1744, Charlotte married King George III and quietly made history as a royal of African descent whose legacy was whitewashed by time. We trace her lineage, her impact on British culture, her erasure from the mainstream royal narrative, and how her bloodline lives on in modern European royalty. Join us as we reclaim the story of a queen whose presence challenged the norms of her time—and still does today.
