Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it" - Proverbs‬ ‭10:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Bible Text: Joel‬ ‭2:28 ‭NKJV‬‬ 28. ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. INSPIRATION: Today, we shall attempt to conceptualise Joel 2: 28 around some other themes different from what has always been said about it. Up until now, you may have only associated that Verse with God's promise of the Holy Spirit, which is great, but a closer look at it shows God's blessings on family units - your sons, daughters, old men and young me; all flesh! Every category mentioned falls within a family unit, and it's actually great to see God promise to visit families in this manner. An outpouring of God's Spirit upon every family member is a blessing that shouldn't be taken for granted. God doesn't waste His investments. So to release so much on a family, that must mean something big. To prophesy, dream dreams, and see visions, are blessing that doesn't come on everyone. Not everyone is called into these offices, therefore, to trivialise them is to be grossly ignorant of what God's blessing really is. Put aside that fact that there are quacks and charlatans everywhere, but where counterfeit exists, know that there're originals. Therefore, carry yourself and your family as God's elect vessels filled with the Holy Spirit as a seal for a special purpose. That's a blessing! You carry the originality of all this verse refers to. An original stands out amongst substandard competitors; its quality and value are never compromised. Anyone who knows the value of an original product would place a premium on it. God has placed a premium on you, do not sell yourself cheap! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: The outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the calling to offices makes the blessings all the more meaningful. It takes a deeper spiritual understanding to discern how blessed you are with these. PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for the blessing of the outpouring of Your Spirit on all flesh. Thank you because I've been empowered and commissioned to do great things through the Holy Spirit at work in me, in Jesus name.
