Brand new results. ACAST. ACAST.com. This is the best Hang podcast featuring Max Kerman, Shane Cunningham, and I am Mike Gereman.

Welcome to the best Hang podcast listeners. We are very excited. It's been a minute since the last pod, but that's because a lot is going on. I know they say that every episode, but in this case it is true.

Max, the gang from Arkel's, they're playing a massive, massive stadium show in Hamilton, Ontario, our hometown. And so I feel like there's just been a lot of stuff leading up to that. So it's been hard to squeeze in a pod. But here we are 48 hours before the event, before the Saturday rally market.

There's a Friday basketball game going on. And then of course, the big show at night with a Portugal man in Valley. It's going to be a great, great time. Guys, how are you feeling?

What are we doing? Max, you seem like the businessman in the world right now. You're popping up on the feed everywhere, promoting the show. What's going on?

How are you feeling? If the crowd had a clue of a fraction of the stuff I'm the mix on, they'd be shocked. It's like you're worried about someone's parking spot at the basketball game. I'm like, oh, yeah.

And I'm like, you know, and I don't want to jinx anything. So we can talk about it maybe after the rally. But yeah, the point is it's been, it's been very busy, but you know, we've done this before, so we're feeling good. And yeah, tomorrow's the big kickoff on Friday.

But yeah, yeah, yeah, Shane, you shaved. What's up with that? You know, sometimes you like someone will take a picture or a video of you and you're like, oh my God. So Alex was filming me for something.

And I was just like, yeah, like I just got to change because I just sometimes you don't like your appearance in a video or photo or you know, you just want to start over. So I'm starting over. Starting over. I fucking hate shaving.

It's just that first 24 hours is terrible. Absolutely. Well, here's the thing though. You shaved at the right time because Saturday is when you're going to see people.

That's the big event, right? So you'll have a nice, I do the same thing. So I shaved yesterday. It'll be perfect for Saturday.

I don't know though, Mike, because my, you're more of a man than me. You are. Terms of facial hair growth. I would say you at two days is me at seven days.

Between the three of us, Max is would be the manliest as far as I feel like he can get a beard going in like three days. I wish I was more like Shane. It'd be more convenient for me if I was just really. Yeah, it's a bad time for me today though.

So I was, you know, feeling self-conscious even showing my face on this video, but right thinking no one would comment on it, you know, right away. Ash was like, she didn't shave. So like shit. It looks good on the zoom.

And I am looking forward to Saturday as many people are probably. It might be the biggest social event of the year for our group as a collective. I like this. I like this.

More so than weddings, more so than anything. I feel like, because it's the whole city. A friend of mine, our good friend Jimmy messaged me this morning that Valley Park Library is doing our tell story time and they printed out laminates with like quitting you in the lyrics and then knocking at the door and the lyrics. And then, yeah, dude was singing with a guitar.

I didn't sing in that video yet. But it's just the community. The community is lit. They're excited, man.

And you guys are better. Yeah, you are. I really did think, oh man, they become like obituous. Like they are like literally part of the curriculum.

Question, though, this is number three. This is part three, right? Is that the three of the rally? Does it feel easier this time around?

I think like anything after you do it the first time, everything makes a little bit more sense. Like your brain doesn't have to work quite as hard because you can imagine the outcome. It's still a ton of work though. It's still a ton of work, but it feels easier in the sense that yeah, it's not the first time because the first time is hard.

But every year there's always like something a little bit different that we have to sort of like build the context is always changing, you know, from year to year, we're checking the weather forecast that's consistent. But no, it's going to be there for the rally market, right? Yes, we will. It's going to get out on time before the rally market.

We're checking this out. It might be up right now, in fact. Yes, it's a YouTube live. It's going live.

Unedited. Well, this comes down to, you know, Nathan, our amazing producer, also a tour photographer for you guys organizing rally, doing a million, a million things. But if you can get this up in the sort of madness of the lead up to the rally, it'd be great. listeners, if you're in the Hamilton area, the GT, if you're coming to the rally, Shane and I will be at the best hang booth in the rally market.

Hey, Max, you usually the last two times you've sort of come in like a pie piper, you know, you sort of roll in and spend some time at the booth along with us. These are some shirts. We got some hats. We just got live update from that.

Manager Ash, who's always on these, these zooms, by the way, always listening. So yeah, Ash just said 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. got to get that right.

We'll be there. Let's run. Maybe crushing some Tim bits or something. It's not Tim Hornsfield anymore.

It's now just what the football field? I was very Hamilton stadium is what it's called after Saturday night. It's going to be called our tell stadium. I love that.

I love the stadium now. But wait, it's not going to be called our tells field. Is it? No, no, no, no.

I was just watching a Instagram story right before you came on and you said a street was being named after you. So I don't know what's real. That is real. That is real.

Our tells alley is a portion of our tells street and where the house is. So yes, that is actually real. What goes on in our tells alley? Is it going to become like a good spot or a shady spot?

I hope it's a shady spot. I hope it's a shady spot. I hope it's a shady spot. I hope it's a lot of kids that are up to know.

I hope there's a lot of Caggers thrown on this part of the street. Yeah. That's what I'm hoping for. I'm going to be mastering everythings the DeGroote Center or David Bralley, you know, but I think after this weekend, I'll just be the entire city.

We'll just be R.Kell's, you know, themed names, which is good. I think it's really good. Yeah. You guys are you're taking over the city.

It's pretty exciting stuff and it can feel the buzz. I literally was I think some of some parents know that we have this podcast together that you and I Max are perhaps friends. So I was dropping a bird off a daycare and this truck comes up and it's another dad and he slows down, he rolls down the window. He's like, you go to the rally and I was like, I'm going to the rally.

He's like, I'm going to the rally. And I feel like that has happened to me multiple times over the last week. Like my neighbors are like, we're going. I'm like, sweet.

See you there. Shane, have you been experiencing this? How many people are tickets Mike? It has happened.

But you know, like, I would say that people are very like, they do it in sort of a respectful loose like, Hey, there's a, you know, and it's just like, yeah, I'm like, you know, like, I got to take it and you know, I'm not, you know, there's a band. There's five guys, they got families. You just have to imagine that there's all these things. So I try not to be too crazy with the stuff around there, but I would say that, you know, the cows and Max have been very kind about taking care of me and my immediate family.

Although I didn't hear a very funny story, Max from my brother, which I think I can repeat. Someone had asked Greg, Hey, can you sort me out with some tickets? And it's a friend of ours, friend of ours, but they haven't been around like a lot in the last, you know, few years. And I guess he'd asked Greg and Greg's like, you know, I don't know.

He's like, Well, we'll see, and Greg's kind of trying to scheme what I was going to see if he can sort out a couple tickets for this friend of ours. And so he goes to who I think, University of Montgomery is probably the kindest guy in the group and that is Nick. And from what maybe you should tell from your perspective, Max, because it made me, I just heard that you hit up Greg. So I guess, I'll just tell it, so I guess Nick puts the ticket request and whatever, or Kelvin or Kels said you guys have.

I didn't know, Nick mentioned it to me. He said, oh yeah, Greg mentioned so-and-so needs tickets. I was like, why is he asking me? We like giving away tickets to people.

And I was like, has he fallen on hard times? Like, is this what is going to be? It's like, I got a call. You know what you're going to be like?

Did so-and-so see like, is he going through some stuff? Like, can he get a ticket? Like, what's the deal? It was like, it was like first, but he's like, oh, but the kids really want to go to their first show and the wife was really excited.

But I'm like, all right, this is not just like one person. He was like a true, true friend. Who I like, by the way, a lot. It was, it was-it was- Oh, like, yeah, by the way, the instinct to ask.

I'm the number one culprit of that. So I totally get the instinct to ask. You're an asker. You're an asker.

I'm totally an asker, but maybe because I do it so much, I know the rules a little bit more. And maybe if you're not an asker and you don't totally calculate all the different factors, then you might make a stupid ask. Cause I would know in that situation, you can't make that ask. It's like, home down, you know, but sometimes you just don't know.

Yeah. So, Shaney, the question of the back to you, how many people have been asking you to sort them out with tickets? I think just my in-laws, but I am super sheepish to ask because years ago, Max, I think, reached out to me. I think I like directed music there, so he was like, ah, you need tickets for a show.

And I did not know the rules of propering this thing. So I was like, yeah. And he was like, all right, how about my TV? And I said like 14.

My mom, like, you know, my stepdad, like everybody. When Max doesn't say, no, I don't think Max knows how to say, no, in the situation, so I'll kind of just like dose you in a weird, like, friendly way. So he's like, ah, I can't like, ask this or get us something. And I still think I was sorted out, but I do, I did realize a month later, how much of a faux pas that was.

So I almost made it a point to never really ask again. So when a couple months ago, my in-laws asked me, and they kind of do it in a smart way. They're like, oh, like, if you could just get the tickets for us, we'll pay you back. It's kind of like that vibe.

Like it's almost like, oh, we don't know how to use the internet, but if you could like, maybe go through the things, the tickets for us will pay you back and maybe we get them for free. But then I didn't ask because I have this like thing about not asking ever since that time, especially with you guys. And then I just kind of wait for Ash to reach out. Oh.

And then literally the next day, she reached out. And I just asked her for the four tickets and she came through. So that's amazing. But I was going through so much stress about it.

And so we've worked so much so that you had to shave. But anyway, thank you. And we will be at the show. And it's going to be very sad.

And like I said, we're going to be in the market. So if you're a listener, come say hi, man. We're excited to meet people, always. You've got social dialed in.

Search is doing its thing. So why do your marketing results look the same as six months ago? That's because you're fishing in the same pond as everyone else. Podcasted listeners are a different audience entirely.

There's going to be a lot of rallies talk, I'm sure. But I want to switch gears for a second. Can we talk about the Springsteen trailer? Sure.

Yeah, I want to say I got a movie thing too. But let's start with the Springsteen trailer. Max, you're the guy in this chat. It's not a chat.

It's a fucking podcast. You're the guy in this podcast that loves Springsteen more than any other. Give us your thoughts. You start this.

Kick it off. Well, I was taken by your comment because I read your comment before I watched the trailer. And your comment was basically, ooh, this is hard coming right out of the Chalamet Bob Dylan movie to go into the acoustic era of Springsteen. And because it kind of sounds the same.

And also Chalamet with a little bit of distance, I think was the best of all time when it came to, like, I guess maybe Ramy Malek with Queen was really good too. But the fact that I thought he was great. You don't think so? You want an Oscar?

You want an Oscar? Oh, no. I think Chalamet's Dylan was much better. Maybe that's a hot take.

I didn't know that. I thought, yeah, I thought especially the time away from that Queen performance, it was kind of known that that was maybe like an honor but really deserved that one. Oh, interesting. OK, well, in any case, Chalamet learns how to play guitar and he learns how to sing, which is like the degree of difficulties actually so high.

And he plays the guitar like Bob Dylan. He sounds like Bob Dylan. And you're watching this trailer and you're like, OK, this is definitely Springsteen's voice. It's not Jeremy Allen, what you trying to sing.

And I don't see his finger picking anything, but I'm curious to know how good he is as a guitar player. Because not to be like a music head about it, but I think it's kind of important. No, there's a movie from back in the day with Sean Penn called Sweet and Lowdown. And he plays like a sort of jazz musician that, it's not a bunch of Oscars.

I don't know what he Allen would be. I can't remember, but it's called Sweet and Lowdown. And he so clearly cannot play the fucking guitar. And even me at like 15 or 16, it's all I could even get.

I was so distracted by the way they had to shoot around it. And then when they would show his hands, anyway, I'm with you on that. So whether Jeremy Allen and Mike can play guitar or not, we will find out. So that's a question.

So then when it comes to the trailer, and the art of a trailer, you know, it's important. And Jeremy Strong places manager. And it's interesting that the voice, the voice over, the one telling the story isn't Springsteen. It's his manager, which is such a choice.

And then the writing of it, I thought was so strange. And by the way, I'm not like the toughest critic. I can kind of be swept away by a lot of stuff. But like it really caught my attention.

It's like there was holes in the floor. And he's been trying to fix the holes. And when he fixes the hole, he can fix the world. I'm like, what the world?

It wasn't even like holes, which to me makes more sense. There's tiny holes. It was like there was a big hole under his bed. It was like a horror thing.

What did it make you think of? It just made me think of that Defcat for QD video. I'll follow you in the dark. What guys in his bedroom and the hole keeps growing.

That was all I thought when they were using this metaphor. Or I guess it was literal. They actually played it. I was the floor.

Yeah, yeah. But it made me think this would almost be a better movie if it was about the manager. And that would kind of be like this cool biopic about the manager. And Bruce is kind of like a side character.

I was like, this would kind of be a cool thing. All this shit the manager had to go through. And then Bruce kind of is in and out. Because I thought Jeremy Strong looks like he might get nominated.

Uh-huh. You want a good job. Even though like you're saying, it felt lame too. The dialogue was cheesy.

It was too, and anytime you do like a biography that is like supported by the artist who obviously gives the music license and all that, I'm just like, it's uncomfortable. Because it's almost like you're talking about yourself. And it's like the hyperbole of like, then he's going to save the world. Like with his music, it's like, OK, like, Bruce is amazing.

A lot of people feel that way. You don't say it like that bluntly in like such a clunky, embarrassing way. There's way cool. Or like, it seems like it's going to maybe be a movie about him and his father.

Like, OK, that's an angle. They do go at the end to whatever song, born to run, I think. But just the bulk of the trailer is so singer-songwriter-y, harmonica, it seems like the Dylan thing, but not as good as the Dylan thing. I'm just like, if I had been an executive or producer, I'd be like, we can't do this trailer.

Like, we can't do this trailer. Because it's just like a it's a bad version of a complete unknown. And also kind of, I mean, Jeremy White's fine as whatever as Bruce, but yeah, I don't know. I was just like, yeah, I wanted to like feel good about this.

And instead, I'm kind of like just thinking about the choices that they made. Are you familiar with the timeline, the Springsteen timeline, when this movie is taking place? I'm not. OK, so based on a book that's really popular about whatever era this is.

So there's a couple of career peaks for Springsteen. So basically, First Record comes out in 72. It's sort of a flop. The next one is worse.

So a lot is on the line in 75. He puts out Born to Run, which is like a hit. So from 75, he's like sort of reached a new height. Then Darkest on the Digital in 78, the River 7980.

And so he's really established himself as an arena rocker. Then in 82, he makes Nebraska. This is the period of time when I think he falls into like a depression. And he goes onto the woods and like makes this acoustic record.

And then coming out of Nebraska, 81 or 82, he makes Born in USA. Yeah, I'm super sorry. Yeah, yeah, Born USA. So basically, I think it's a period of time from when he like is trying to find himself again, as it's suggested in the trailer.

And then he comes out of it and makes Born in USA when he becomes you know, stadium rocker. So it's an interesting time. But you're totally right. It's like this acoustic version of Springsteen.

Like people like Nebraska. But like what people want to see is like, how does this guy put on? How did he get the chops to put on these three hour four hour like big soul band shows? And how did that take over the world?

I think that I think that'd be more interesting. But I don't know. Maybe it's more. He's trying to fill the hole.

That's why he doesn't. That's right. Never mind. Yeah, literally metaphorically.

Yeah, I don't know. I can't we haven't seen the movie. So who knows? Maybe that maybe because sometimes when you make a trailer, like that might literally only be 30 minutes of the movie or 25 minutes in the movie.

And then the rest is him coping with going to another level like that. Michael Jackson, Madonna level with Born in USA, where suddenly he's and he becomes iconic, right? But yeah, I don't know. I just was like, whatever they're selling in the trailer, what I was saying in the text of the group chat was like, it's just really hard to put out like a singer, songwriter, acousticie, harmonica thing about a guy like being the voice of a generation right after a complete unknown is this wildly popular biopic that everyone feels is like cream of the crop Oscars Timothy Shallen.

It just feels like a copy of a copy. You already do a copy of Bruce. Like how they focused on that specific time period in a complete unknown. And now they're doing them.

Oh, this is a very specific time period. Again, it really feels like a copy. But I was kind of impressed with how he looked because somehow they look like they changed his face to look a little bit more like Bruce, but obviously how they get it. Like, is there a subtle prosthetic going on in like his cheap bone area?

Maybe face acting. Close up of his face. It looked different in a very subtle, but Bruce like way. Actually, I don't I don't.

That's a good question because he didn't body him. I did. So here's the thing when the trailer opens and he's buying the nice car and the car dealer guy that car salesman's like, he's like, I know who you are. And Bruce looks and he goes, that makes one of us.

I was like, OK, I was like, I kind of like that. I don't like that. I like that line. I like the line just because I was like, OK, it's a little cheesy, but it's kind of cool.

And then you get across very quickly that Bruce might be the star he's sending, but he's trying to find himself. It's very blunt. But I was like, that was the first line that shown. I was like, OK, and then it literally fell off a cliff from there for me.

Max, do you know, as a rockstar, do you know who you are? Max? Yeah. That's the first guy in the world.

Shane, do you know who you are? No, but I like Bob Dylan more because he was always like when people would try to find depth in his songs, but they don't need nothing. Like I think that is cooler than being like, I'm just so complicated. I don't like or complicated or if there's some big war to your life.

And it's like, I'm like this because of that. And it's like, well, no, you're not because other people have had that exact experience and they came up differently. I don't like depth. It feels pretentious.

I'm a person acting like they're deep at all. I have I'm really off but by that. And in my mind, I don't look at Bruce like that. I look at him as like a working man who's not this tortured artist and who's just going to be like, let's have a beer and dance recording talks or something.

Like that's what I look at. And I'm like, I like Bruce less now after seeing how the portraying it. So the movie is doing its job then. You are losing fans.

I like the idea of what you're getting at, Shane, which is the lack of an identity. Is its own identity in a weird way? Like you just chose another identity without committing to an identity or something like that. Anyway, you know what?

It's interesting to say that Shane about Bruce is because I think that there is a bit of like he wants his story to be told in a way that makes him seem a little more brooding, a little more depressive because I think most rock stars that we look up to have that have like, oh, they battled with drugs or they went through like, Bruce is pretty squeaky clean. And so, but he probably goes, I'm just as complicated as David Bowie. I'm just as complicated. So, so I need to tell my story about the heartache I had with my father about the period of depression I went through in the 80s that people don't really know about because because you know, there's the meme that someone put in the group about it.

It's like him doing the Super Bowl show where he's like, put down the chicken wings. The guac. Yeah, and he ends with the chicken. It was like he was playing the Super Bowl.

So his whole his bit, whoever, you know, when you wrote it came up with his bit to talk to the camera or whatever that was what he came with. But when he ends with like, and put down the chicken wings, it's like, if he's got it with the same soul that he could be campaigning at a political rally with, but it's about fucking chicken wings and guacamole is so funny. Yeah. So I think I think he does one and I, you know, I totally get the instinct to I like somebody to like, you know, make a book or movie about me about what I was complicated genius.

I am. That's not about a day, right? The best part about you, Max is you don't fall into any of that. You're always playing everything light.

If a car salesman was like, I know what you like, you'd be like, cool. Like, you know, you would be like, I don't even know what I like, you know. It's like, I know who you are. Max, like, you want to pick?

Yeah. Max, it's me too. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.

So I went and saw this from you last night. So I got the kids of bed. I was kind of, I was only tired. I was like, you know what?

I hadn't even dinner yet. So I was like, I'm going to go just grab like a fucking junior cheeseburger from Wendy's and go right to the Silver City. And I was like, I'm going to go see Materialists, which is the Slingsong movie with Dakota Johnson. And I was like, I like a rom-com and Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans.

It's like a fun little love trying to go through that. Yeah. And I'm looking at the movies and I'm like, Oh, the life of Chuck. I was like, I know this is based on Stephen's King thing.

And it's like, Oh, it's directed by, Oh, who's the guy that did a midnight mass? He's like a real sort of Oh, Tories. He's, yeah, he's a great director. And I've liked his miniseries that he's done a Netflix, like the house of Usher.

Mike Flanagan, you guys know Mike Flanagan anyway. So I was like, Oh, I didn't really know much of it. And it kind of pulled a Mike Kerman in a lot of ways where I was just like, you know what? I'm going to go.

I'm going to go to the Stephen King. I don't know what to expect. I don't know what it is. I'm just going to go sat there 945 movie literally alone in the theater up until the trailers were done and then two other random dudes came in old guys not together.

Definitely. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe they were there to clean decently hook up and I fucked it up for them.

It's like, Oh God, there's another guy in life of Chuck. But and the movie was awesome. It was awesome. It's it's it's weird.

And it's like, it's, you know, it's one of those like, yeah, they mess up a narrative. Well, I was going to say like the way they tell the story is almost like a reverse narrative like they started act three and they kind of do this interesting thing. And the first it opens in a very weird way where if you don't know anything about it, you're like, what is going on? It's what is this movie?

And then it unfolds and then it sort of reveals itself. And then at the end, I walked out feeling all sorts of ways about life and the multitude that we contain, which is, you know, I contain multitudes of all women, quote, and that's a theme throughout the movie. And it's, you know, life, death, love, the relationships we make along the way. What do they mean?

Do they only mean something to us? Is that enough? Is that, you know, and you, yeah, you're got Jacob tromblaze in it actually. It's it's it starts, it starts on Hiddleston.

Tom Hiddleston is like the star of it, but he's not even in a ton of it. It's like such a weird, interesting, cool movie, it's not a perfect movie or anything. But I'm just like, I like, I like that it exists and I got to experience it like cold and I text to my brother after I was like, life of Chuck is worth your time. Don't watch the trailer.

Just go watch it. Wow. He hasn't responded to me though. Maybe he's in the movie.

Actually, that movie at the playhouse, I know pops is actually a big, same king person. So I sent him the spring grab. I was like, what do you think of this? But he didn't seem that excited about it.

So I just didn't put the ask out. But I did rather hold a little bit and it seemed like it would be very motivational. But I was like, this is either going to be super cheesy or be one of those movies you walk out and have an experience like you did. And it's the multitude thing like within us, we have so many possibilities that we don't even realize and we could almost be anything or good at something that we don't even realize is like laying gourmit inside us.

Is that the thing? Essentially. Yeah. Yeah.

It's like, it's the idea that like we do contain multitudes. Like we are a million things all at once. You know, we're not sort of like one thing, but also like every experience that you've never had in your life goes into your brain and goes into your memories and into your heart, a great school teacher, a girlfriend you had in grade six, a best friend you haven't seen in 20 years, like they live on within us. We contain them.

They're the multitudes that we contain. We're the some of our experiences and those, those people in those things and the way that they see the world, they live within us. Now Shane, I would be very, very fast in your thoughts because there are parts that are very saccharin and cheesy. They do a bit of that.

Like they do lean into a little bit of that where you're like, okay, I'm watching more, little kid dancing or whatever. But the way it ends and sort of, yeah, it's like, yeah, it's just a really sort of clever and thoughtful story, but it was a great like Wednesday night, late show experience. Like one of the things I love about going to the movies, it was, was seeing that, but I'd be fascinated with you guys. It's interesting that someone like Stephen King can be like, do something like that that does have you feeling this way and then be like, now a clown is in a sewer.

I literally was trashing. Yeah. He sees the trashing too. Yeah.

That's Stephen King. That's Stephen King. That's a Steve King story. I was talking to somebody about this other day about Stephen King and it's like, you know, it's like, there's Michael Jordan.

There's, there's, I don't know, Oh, Tony. There's Stephen King. Like, wait, wait, see, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, the, are, it's these people, he can turn them out so fast because I never mentioned Ricky King. I mentioned him in my book, though, because he was writing his own writing, which is his book about a writer.

But then there was a review in your Times for a new book called Never Flynch. And it's sort of just a detective. Never Flynch. I'm not supposed to be able to tell the book, but it's unbelievable, his output.

And it's, and it's, and it's like, every genre, it's, and it's quality and it's very accessible. And it's every genre. It's not just like, you know, John Grisham, who does like, you know, Lawroom books or someone just romance or somebody does, he does everything. It's, it's, it's crazy to me.

How is that related to Venus Williams and Michael Jordan and that? Oh, just like the one I guess. One of one. Yeah.

Just that it's just like, oh, they're so undeniably different than every single. Like, they're like, it's like, there's good basketball players and there's Michael Jordan. There's great writers and there's Stephen King. It's like, there's great bands and there's the Beatles, right?

Who do you recognize? Again, Mike? I know who it is, but I can't think of Nick. Yeah.

It's, it's, it's, um, what's his name? It's God damn. Right. Right.

Right. There's a father and a son. Yes. It's me head.

OK. Now, and his father's famous to point is that guy was an amazing actor. He's a multiple Wall Street too. And he was in all the family, but he's directed some of the most different film.

Stan by me from one of the writers who's one of the most eclectic good writers when Stephen King, because once we get this guy's name, we'll know it. But this guy's directed. Stan by me. Um, what's the fake doc, the comedy?

Yeah. This is one of the top. It's Rob Reiner. Rob Reiner.

His dad is Carl Reiner who. I don't have Stan by me. Like, yeah, just that to me is amazing when someone like that is almost seemingly good at everything. You know what?

Philography is amazing. I feel like, um, if you're to choose to have any, any career, Stephen King, like, might be it. Think about that. Like you get to make up stories, everybody reads your books and then they all get turned into movies and they all get turned into great movies and you seem to enjoy doing it.

He, it's like, he seems to be so good natured, like, and he plays in a band with his buddies and he has like a loving marriage. You know what I mean? Like he was, he was the raging alcoholic. I was in the 70s.

It was. It's interesting to me. Oh, I know. She's, uh, you know, though, I think you've actually come up with an interesting comp though.

He is, I think he is the Beatles as far as like in the literary world. It's like populist, but also quality. Like, I think the most pretentious writers, maybe not, but I would think they could be like, Oh yeah, like Stephen King is best is great writing still. I, I don't know enough to speak on it.

So maybe like, like, I don't know, like, what would like, whoever thinks like, you know, writing greats, American, you know, like, uh, or like, yeah, yeah, or like F. Scott Fitzgerald or Hemingway or these like sort of these people that made some great works signed back, like it's like, Stephen King might not get held in that esteem, I guess, but I don't know. Like you said for quality and output and populist. Yeah, I guess somebody who reads more and has a real opinion would be like, Oh, no, his shit is like, it's a tier below, but it's very good and popular.

Where's I think the Beatles are considered the greatest pop music of all time? Yeah. Stephen King be considered the greatest novel of all time. I don't know.

I don't know. Maybe he's like Bo Jackson. Could be an MLB and NFL. Andrew was very good in both.

He had, he was multi talented and he was very high, but not being the best. He's dubbed the King of horror, but he also has written, you know, suspense, crime, science, fiction, fantasy, mystery, man. Yeah, this guy, this guy. Oh, sorry.

I'm back on Rob Reiner now. This is final tap. Stand by me. Princess Bride, when Harry Met Sally, misery, a few good men.

I'm in the best run of all time. The ghost of Mississippi. Ghost Mississippi was OK, but then North he did, which is terrible. He fell off and he never really recovered from that, but no, then it's kind of schlock from there.

So I have the story of us with Bruce Willis. Rumor has it. The bucket list, like people like that. Yeah, yeah, it did.

It falls off. But that sixth film run is probably the best six film run in history, like maybe like someone like Billy Wilder has a comparable filmography, but. And also different. They're all different films.

Like you said, the genres are all over the place and he's amazing at all of them. Well, that's what they say about Billy Wilder too. I only really know two really well films like Sunset Boulevard and Sunlight Hot. So I don't know the other ones, but people always say that they have a similar eclectic nature.

You think about better if you call himself Willy Wilder just for the Eliteration? I assume he's a William. I'm actually just like, what are we doing here? I got from what they I got.

I got. No, no, no, we do got to go. But I was looking at Stephen Kansas on Joe Hill, who's I think also famous writer too. He just reading his Wikipedia.

I just wait. So his kid changes his last name or like, so wait, Stephen King, Joe Hill, King of the Hill, Joe Hill, Joe Hillstrom is his name with a little accent over the. Oh, I like it. Yeah.

So anyway, I would say to conclude the movie part, I would say I recommend life of Chuck. I'd be fasting with people think because I don't think it's like a home run ever with love it. But I certainly wonder is that love movies. It's like a man's good fucking movie and weird movie.

And I was thinking I was engaged the whole time and I felt something at the end and I thought about it. The whole drive home. I like it's midnight and I'm just driving home and I just I didn't put on a pod and put on music. I just looked at the streetlights and I thought about my life and the multitude that maybe I didn't.

First break thing right now. Yeah, I got pulled over in the cop was like, where are you going? I said, I wish I knew you tell me any road will take it. If you don't know where you're going, yeah, George, good, your chair.

So lyric, that's right. And he wrote I love that song. Yeah, we got this before we got this. Max, go.
