The Reason We Let Children Into the Lord's Supper

God’s covenant promise places believers’ children within His church, not outside it while they wait to become adults. Baptism marks entry into this community, while the Lord’s Supper renews and proclaims God’s saving promise through Jesus. Yet baptism and believing parents do not automatically save a child. Children must personally trust Jesus, and those who can express age-appropriate faith may join the guarded family meal after speaking with their parents and elders.
