The Reasons We Pray #1 - We Speak to a Personal God

Prayer does not begin with people forcing their way into God's presence. God first makes Himself known through His works, His name, and His presence, so prayer answers His initiative. The Tower of Babel shows people trying to seize access, while Jacob's stairway begins with God opening the way. In Jesus, God comes near in human flesh and shows His compassionate heart.
