The Redeeming Touch

This sermon explores Luke's intentional placement of Jesus' baptism alongside His genealogy to verify both His divinity and humanity. The preacher argues that Jesus, the perfect Son of God, entered human history and baptism to touch and redeem fallen creation, transforming what was cursed into something holy. By identifying with sinful humanity through His lineage and baptism, Christ restores the value of individuals and history itself. The message invites listeners to recognize their own redemption and adoption as children of God through faith in this triune God. Ultimately, the sermon emphasizes that Jesus' touch makes all things new, offering hope and purpose to believers within redeemed history.
