They make me look a little slimmer, a little taller—like I have my life together. These are the mirrors that whisper, “You’re doing just fine, sis. No need to worry. Maybe even have that extra piece of toast.”But then… there’s the mirror on my second-floor landing. Now, this mirror? This mirror does not care about my feelings. It has no interest in illusions.
