INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Monday, March 31, 2025 Topic: THE RELEASE OF WORSHIP! Memory Verse: ‭‭"And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head" - Mark 14:3 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭ 1 Kings 18:36‭-‬38 NKJV 36. And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. 37. Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.” 38. Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. INSPIRATION: Real, genuine heartfelt worship affords us the opportunity to be expressive and naked before our Maker without being afraid, ashamed or intimidated. When this happens, the fragrance of our worship ascends to God as a sweet scented savour that is well-pleasing to Him. Every genuine worship must "break our box" for its costly content to come out. There's something trapped deep down within you that must come out and connect with God. That's where our worship becomes a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable before God. Unless we get to this point in the threshold of worship, we just might not have offered a reasonable act of service unto our God. How costly is your worship; how attractive is your praise? Who gets the attention when you worship and what changes occur as you do? When the woman broke her alabaster box and poured its perfume on Jesus, the people took notice that something remarkable had happened. It afforded her an opportunity to draw people's attention to Jesus. Until we come broken in worship, it just might be all about us and none about Jesus - a mere emotional waste of time, without any spiritual significance! At the time of offering of the evening sacrifice, Elijah offered worship to God that established God as the true God, it brought national revival to the land and turned the hearts of the people back to God (1 Kgs 18:39). True worship must repair and rebuild broken altars (1 Kgs 18:30); it must stir God to action and cause his fire to fall (1 Kgs 18:38). But more importantly, when you release worship, you release yourself to the wings of the Spirit of God. In this atmosphere, anything is possible. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Uncage yourself and let genuine worship flow unto God. Break your box! Break every barrier that traps your fragrance of worship from rising to God. Focus your worship on exalting Jesus. Make Him the centre of your worship. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to always release genuine worship to You; make my fragrance ascend and acceptable in Your throne, and release me to operate in the dimensions of the supernatural, where I will be overwhelmed with Your blessings and victories, in Jesus name.
