The Religious Spirit

This Sunday, Sept. 7th at 10am, we are gathering to worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth — tearing down the religious spirit that binds people in shame and control, and lifting up Jesus, the Key-Bearer, the Door-Opener, the One who sets us free.If you’ve ever been hurt by religion, hear this: that was broken men, not Jesus. Religion may have shut doors in your face, but Jesus came to open them wide. Religion may have told you that you’re too dirty, too broken, too much of a mess. But Jesus says: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” There are no hoops to jump through. No rituals to perform. No gatekeepers to keep you out.
