The Republicans Want to LOSE

POLITICS: By Walter CurtThe Republican Party does not want to win the midterms—and if we let them keep operating the way they are, they will lose them again. For months, the right has been consumed by personality fights, podcast drama, and endless internal noise while Democrats quietly organize, redraw maps, and lock in power. I even let myself get pulled into the distraction, but a recent trip to Washington was a hard reset. Spending hours with people like Scott Presler—people focused exclusively on how to win—made something painfully clear: winning requires discipline, infrastructure, and relentless focus, not internet feuds. TPUSA, grassroots operations, and turnout machines matter. Drama does not.Meanwhile, Republicans are still asleep. In Indiana, GOP legislators refused to redistrict, handing Democrats two House seats for free. In Virginia and California, Democrats are aggressively using the system to gain ground while Republicans hesitate and hope for the best. That cannot continue. Every Republican who refuses to fight for power should be primaried. Pressure must be applied—electorally, relentlessly, and without apology. The first of the year, things are going to change.
