"The Rescue of God" // Psalm 40 (Sunday 7-2-23)

Have you ever felt... that you were beyond reach and maybe just too messed up for God to RESTORE? God thinks different about you! Have you ever felt that you needed to do the right things to be made RIGHT with God, jump through the hoops, be "good enough"? Jesus came to make you right instead! Have you ever felt in your life that RESCUE would be out of reach, that no one could help you, that no one would want to - or even have the ability to? The truth is; God loves you and has the power to truly rescue you and meet your deepest needs! Not only that, but we've each been invited and encouraged to share our stories of rescue to a world that desperately needs to hear... This Sunday, we look into Psalm 40 and find the hope that all of us have been searching for all along! And here's David's last verses (from the Message paraphrase) ..."But all who are hunting for you— oh, let them sing and be happy. Let those who know what you’re all about tell the world you’re great and not quitting. And me? I’m a mess. I’m nothing and have nothing: make something of me.
